Anna Verbuk has filed her dissertation, Acquisition of Scalar Implicatures, and begun a McGill post-doc with Thomas Shultz, of the McGill Department of Psychology. She will be part of the Center for Research on Language, Mind and Brain at McGill. Her project is on the acquisition of relevance implicatures.

The Department Picnic is this Saturday (September 8), starting at 3:30 pm, at Barbara's House, 50 Hobart Lane.
The Acquisition Lab meets on Monday, September 10, at 12:15 pm , in the Partee Room. Catherine Léger and Tom Roeper will report on GALA and the Theory of Mind Workshop. The group will also plan for the new year. Everyone is welcome!
